Professional Development for Indigenous Artists Course

PAFNW is pleased to announce that the first intake of our Professional Development for Indigenous Artists Course has successfully concluded. We offered a 7-week long program with classes held online on Zoom each Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm PDT, from October 13th to November 24th 2021.

This course aims to guide Indigenous artists through holistic, spiritual, and decolonial practices of engaging with the “art world” and supporting oneself as an artist.

Enrolment is open to Indigenous artists of all skill levels residing in British Columbia. Registration is limited to 24 students with preference given to emerging artists. This course is provided at no cost to students. Students will receive a living wage subsidy of $45 per session for each class attended. This course is generously funded by First Peoples’ Cultural Council.
